Overview
During 2002, The Village of Woodridge, Illinois began
having service issues and communication problems with
two of its major utility providers. Approached by Azavar Technologies™ Data Management Services™, Woodridge realized the need
to better monitor its relationship with utilities and
signed up for the Azavar™ Municipal Utility Tax Audit ProgramSM.

Within six months, after a massive audit and data collection
effort and systematically analyzing over 21 million
pieces of data and information, Azavar’s professionals
and data management systems found discrepancies within
one utility of over $50,000 per year in missed tax
collections. These are funds that are now being collected
by Woodridge and added to its General Fund beginning with
January 2004.
Can your municipality afford to forgo $50,000 or more
per year?

William Murphy, Mayor
"The Village of Woodridge looked at many ways to increase our municipal revenues. Azavar brought a one-of-a-kind and valuable service to the Village in auditing our utility taxpayers including electric, gas, telecommunications as well as cable franchise fees. Azavar has been very successful in adding revenue to our rolls from all utility taxpayers. With the added revenues Woodridge has been able to continue increasing services to our residents while decreasing our property tax rate. Azavar has been instrumental in our success."
