CHICAGO , IL – Tucked away between a camera store and a deli is a doorway that leads to an elevator that takes you up to the 6th floor where Web creativity flourishes.
The characteristic “A” carved out of metal adorns the wall behind the reception desk, and the walls down the hall display award-winning website designs for Fortune 500 companies, entertainment leaders and manufacturers. There are three spots open, waiting for the new arrivals that add another level of creative prestige: the Summit Creative Awards.
Azavar™ Technologies has been honored with three Summit® Creative Awards for its strength in big ideas, quality of execution and ability to communicate and persuade. Azavar's Flash website design for healthcare consulting firm Health Directions received a silver award while its B2B product website design for FONA International received a bronze award.
“Using Flash for the website design with Health Directions makes it easier for visitors to view information and not have to refresh, and it gives us an extra element to communicate more visually with visitors,” Creative Director Brian Flanagan said.
The website design for FONA also won a 2005 Outstanding Website Award from the Web Marketing Association while the Flash website design for Health Directions earned a Standard of Excellence award.
“As a small agency in Chicago , it is an achievement to be recognized solely for our creative efforts by some of the big-name agencies like Olgivy & Mather, Tribal DDB and The Art Institute,” President Jason Perry said. “The diamond in the rough of this group, however, is the e-newsletter that garnered a bronze award.”
That e-newsletter is “Fi$cally Fit,” an email marketing campaign for Health Directions geared toward healthcare professionals. Its creative graphic presentation of information across the spectrum of healthcare, coupled with its simple yet elegant calls to action demonstrate the three strengths promoted by the Summit Creative Awards: big idea, quality execution and ability to communicate and persuade.
“We wanted to keep the design simple and elegant, yet have some room for creative freedom to get readers to interact more than they would with a normal kind of email,” Mr. Flanagan said. “The design is consistent enough for readers to recognize it while some aspects provide an opportunity to present information in a more creative manner.”
The Summit Creative Awards were created to recognize and celebrate the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized advertising agencies and other creative companies throughout the world with annual billings of under $25 million. The awards evaluative criteria sets it apart as the top creative competition for this sector. Submissions are evaluated based on the strength of their big idea, the quality of execution and their ability to communicate and persuade.
